Học bổng được trao cho 5 sinh viên xuất sắc thông qua việc sinh viên nộp hồ sơ xin học bổng với 500$/sinh viên. Khoa sẽ xét chọn hồ sơ và Cty UOP sẽ phỏng vấn trực tiếp bằng tiếng Anh để quyết định cấp học bổng (buổi phỏng vấn và trao học bổng thường được tổ chức tại Khách sạn Hilton vào cuối tháng 9 hàng năm). 1 sinh viên xuất sắc nhất trong 5 sinh viên được trao học bổng sẽ được tài trợ 1 khóa thực tập hè tại Công ty ở Chicago, Mỹ trong 3 tháng.
Hồ sơ cụ thể như sau:
- Tổng số học bổng : 5 suất
- Giá trị học bổng: 500$/suất.
- 1 sinh viên xuất sắc nhất trong 5 sinh viên được trao học bổng sẽ được tài trợ 1 khóa thực tập hè tại Công ty ở Chicago, Mỹ trong 3 tháng.
Một số sinh viên đã được chọn đi Mỹ gần đây nhất: Nguyễn Ngọc Khang K56T, Lê Đình Sơn K56B, Đỗ Thị Phương K58B, Phạm Anh Quân K59T.

I am happy to let you know that Honeywell UOP has approved extending the Honeywell UOP Scholarship program in Vietnam for the 2017-18 academic year. As before, we would like the assistance of the faculty at HUS to help us select the scholars and recognize their accomplishments. Just like last year, the scholarships are awarded with the following conditions:
1. Honeywell UOP will provide scholarships for five undergraduate students, preference should be given to students who have two years of study remaining before graduation.
2. The scholarships will consist of US$500 each and will be valid for one academic year.
3. At the end of the academic year, one of the scholarship winners will be awarded an additional US$500 and will travel to UOP’s headquarters in Des Plaines to complete a summer internship assignment during the summer before returning to the University to complete their final year of studies. Travel and accommodation expenses during the summer scholarship will be provided by UOP.
4. Honeywell UOP scholars will be nominated by the faculty based on criteria that shall include academic accomplishment, leadership skills, community activity and interest in working in the hydrocarbon industries. Each nominee shall submit a resume and a one-page essay in English describing their career goals by September 15 of each year. UOP will confirm the selection of scholars by September 30 of each year.
5. Scholarships will be presented to the students at a recognition event to be held during October of each academic year. The recognition event will be attended by senior members of the University administration and leaders from Honeywell and UOP to celebrate our partnership and the scholastic accomplishments of the students.
6. Scholarship can be renewed if a student is re-nominated by the faculty in a subsequent year, but are not renewed automatically.
7. A Honeywell UOP scholarship is not an agreement or offer of future employment with either Honeywell or UOP.
I would therefore appreciate it if you could engage your faculty colleagues to begin the process of selecting nominees for scholarships and ask the nominees to prepare their resumes and essays for submission so that you can send these materials to UOP by September 15. As noted above, the faculty may choose to renew existing scholars, but renewal should not be automatic. In the event a scholarship is renewed we would still like to see an updated resume and essay from the scholar.
I am also working with Mr. Hung Nguyen, UOP Global Director Sale and Ms. T. Thanh Mai, President of Honeywell Indochina, to make arrangements for the recognition ceremonies in October, and will contact you later when I have more details of potential dates.
