RESEARCH DIRECTIONS AND PROJECTS
  • Thiosemicarbazonate complexes of transition metals: synthesis, characterization and their potential application as antibacterial, antifungal agents and anticancer drugs.
  • Synthesis, structure and photophysics studies of chromophoric complexes, especially those of iridium, ruthenium, platinum and gold, which have potential application in light emiting device (LED), chemosensing and light harvesting.
  • Synthesis of transition metal complexes of N-heterocyclic carbenes and their application in catalysis.
  • Calculation of ground and excited state electronic structures using Density Functional Theory (DFT) method to rationalize photophysics properties of inorganic and organic chromophores.
